Welcome to The Central Ohio Antique Fire Apparatus Association

The Central Ohio Chapter of SPAAMFAA

On a cold Ohio December night in 1987 a small group of men got together to establish a club for the purpose of collecting, preserving and the enjoyment of antique fire apparatus. Now many years later and 70 plus members strong, COAFAA has the bragging rights to Central Ohio's largest fun muster and it gets bigger and better every year!

The central Ohio Chapter is a group of fire apparatus, fire history and fire tradition enthusiasts who love to get together and talk about old fire trucks and the fire service. The own their own apparatus, and they restore, parade, pump, and participate in many public activities each year.

Every year in June we host our annual Fun Muster in conjunction with the State of Ohio Fire Marshals Expo. Antique and in-service fire apparatus of all types from all across Ohio and other states to partake in the fun filled day of displays and activities for adults and kids alike.

Owning fire apparatus is not requireD to be a member of COAFAA or SPAAMFAA. Merely wanting to enjoy antique fire apparatus and promote the appreciation of such is all that is necessary.

Our diverse group of members collects fire memorabilia, extinguishers, patches, badges, photos and just about anything else associated with the fire service. Anyone interested in antique fire apparatus or the fire service is encouraged to join.

Our chapter meets once a month at various locations. We are a family oriented club, and all activities and policies consider family values and involvement. If you are interested in more information about our chapter or SPAAMFAA, please take a look around this site. You can also contact  Andy McConnell @ Firetique57@sbcglobal.net.
